Government Grants for Manufacturing Automation in Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP) offer the Wisconsin Automation Implementation Grant, providing up to $35,000 (20% of total equipment cost) to manufacturers for implementing automation technologies after completing an AutomationAdvisor project with WMEP.
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) also provides Advanced Manufacturing Technical Education Equipment Grants through the Wisconsin Fast Forward program to school districts for purchasing equipment like CNC machines, robotic welders, 3D printers, etc. to train students for advanced manufacturing careers. Recent examples include over $473,000 to 10 school districts in March 2023, $227,520 to 7 school districts in August 2023, and over $495,000 to 17 school districts in April 2024.
